Add some winter “weather” to your everyday decor with easy paper snowflakes. These are cut-outs of my drawings taped one after the other onto clear string, and then hung side by side to create an entire flurry’s worth. You could also string them together horizontally to make garlands, tape individual snowflakes to shelves, or scatter them across a tabletop as decor.

We created our snowstorm in collaboration with my friend, top event planner Bryan Rafanelli. Here’s to make your own.

What You’ll Need:

  • Snowflakes Template
  • White paper or card stock
  • Silver thread, string, or fishing wire
  • Doublestick tape

How-To

Step 1 Download the Snowflakes Template, print, and cut out.

Step 2 Tape several snowflakes in different sizes along two parallel strands of fishing wire to create a strip of snowflakes that doesn’t twist around (see photo above).

Step 3 Tape the top of the strip to the mantel, ceiling, doorway, window, or wherever you want to hang your storm.
