A placesetting can set the theme for an entire party. Just look at this cherry tablesetting inspired by the seasonal fruit. It’s a great idea for summer entertaining, or you can use cherry crafts and decor to bring the sweet taste of summer to any event—like a birthday party, baby, or bridal shower—all year long.
This table started with the Cherry Bomb place setting from my friends at Social Studies, a company which makes it easy to entertain by renting party-ready place settings and table decor. The place settings came with the runners, placemats, napkins, flatware, china, and the bowl of wooden cherries—and made the perfect backdrop for our cherry-themed party! Then we added DIY touches to really make the table come to life! Of course, cherries aren’t the only fruit or food that can inspire a place setting! Lemons, oranges, ice cream, pie—the possibilities are endless! Think of your favorite, build a color scheme and decor ideas around that and celebrate!
