To make this mail-able “mug,” download our Mug Template, print, and cut out. You can send it as is, or snip the top, add a back to create a pocket and slip in a cellophane bag of cocoa, a wrapped tea bag or a gift to a coffee shop.

Place the filled mug in an envelope, pop in the mail (don’t forget to add extra postage!) and your drink is on its way! It’s a card that’s guaranteed to make anyone who gets it feel warm and cozy.
You can also work the wintry mug into the rest of your holiday decor! Download, print, and cut the template and you can use it as gift tags, place cards, confetti, or even string them together to make a garland.

What You’ll Need

  • Hot Chocolate Mug Template
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Doublestick tape
  • Scissors
  • Cellophane bags (we used 2.25 X 4 in bags)
  • Cocoa powder (or tea bags or gift card–whatever you want to slip inside the “mug”)
  • Regular tape
  • Envelope

How-To

Step 1 Download Hot Chocolate Mug Template, print, and cut out. Snip a slice in the top of the mug, leaving it about 1/8th inch on one side.

Step 2 Use doublestick tape to attach the edges of the mug, and the strip at the top, to a piece of plain paper, creating a pocket. Cut around the mug. Write your message on the front or back of the card.

Step 3 Spoon cocoa powder into a cellophane bag; fold over top and tape shut.

Step 4 Slip cocoa packet into the slit so that it fills the “mug.” Slide into an envelope and you’re ready to mail your mug!
