It’s a table setting with a twist. Skip the pen for this setting and grab some pipe cleaners instead. Twist a few pipe cleaners together to spell out the names of your guests. Go sparkly for a touch of glitz, or use fun colors. Think outside the card and use the names as gift tags or cake toppers–you could even stick a name in a bouquet of flowers as a centerpiece.
What you need:
- Pipe Cleaners
- Napkin
- Scissors
Step 1 Grab a pipe cleaner and start shaping the first letter of the name with your fingers.
Step 2 Attach more pipe cleaners as you go along by twisting the ends together so the tails are wrapped around and flush with the wire.
Step 3 continue adding letters in cursive.
Step 4 Finish the name, making sure there is a tail at the end.
Step 5 Place the name on top of the napkin and wrap the tail behind the napkin.
Step 6 Bring the tail back around to the front of the napkin. Trim with scissors so about 1 inch is left.
Step 7 Now it’s ready to place at your table setting.
